- 1/4 cup basil pesto
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 large romaine lettuce leaves
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 6 slices crispy bacon, chopped
- Cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves (optional)
- Shredded cheese (like mozzarella or feta) (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until it’s crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towel.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken with the basil pesto. Stir until well coated and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Rinse the romaine lettuce leaves under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- On each lettuce leaf, spoon in a generous amount of the pesto chicken mixture. Top with slices of avocado and sprinkle the crispy bacon on top.
- If desired, add cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, or cheese to your wraps.
- Fold the lettuce over the fillings to create a wrap. Serve immediately.
